The music of the
film is going to be launched tonight in a grand affair in Dubai.
Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson along with director Shankar and music
director AR Rahman are going to make this evening a grand spectacle. The whole
cast and crew spoke to media yesterday, and revealed a lot of interesting facts
about the film.
When asked about
why Rajinikanth was so simple in real life, he had said, "I don’t get paid
to act in real life and so I’m simple." Also Rahman announced that there
are going to be 3 songs in the movie, two of which will be released tonight at
the event. The last song, which will be clubbed with the background score, will
be released at a later date nearing the release of the film.
For those who don’t know, Robot 2.0 releases in 2018 and stars Rajinikanth,
Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in the lead roles. It is one of the most awaited
films and will have a simultaneous release in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi
worldwide. It promises some high octane action, awe-inspiring stunts and
superlative performances by the lead actors. The first making video of the film
dropped on social media on Ganesh Chaturthi and went viral within minutes.

Initially, Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar was going to clash with Rajinikanth
and Akshay Kumar starrer Robot 2.0. However, the release date of Robot 2.0 got
pushed further.
Another
interesting fact that many don’t know is that Aamir Khan was the first choice
to play the role played by Rajinikanth. However much he loved the film, he
couldn’t envision anyone apart from Rajinikanth playing the part. Thus he
requested director Shankar to take the role to Rajinikanth only and none other.
Coming back to Robot 2.0, it is shot entirely in India and also stars Sudhanshu
Pandey and Adil Hussain in pivotal roles. The film will hit theatres on January
25, 2018.
